Photo Friday

Happy Friday! I’m a bit later than usual posting today, but that may end up being the new norm. It turns out it’s a lot harder to find blogging time with a newborn in the house. 😉 Normally I’d post during Lewis’ nap time, but today it was much more important to have a lovely two hour nap of my own.

Things are still going along pretty much as they have been. Anya is cute and sweet and sleepy, though we do seem to be seeing her eyes open a bit more each day. So far she seems much more easy-going than Lewis was as a baby, which I am definitely enjoying! She is quite happy to be laid down on a blanket on the floor for 5 or 10 minutes while I take care of the laundry or help Lewis with something. She also seems to enjoy tummy time, which was something Lewis always hated.

Lewis is still adoring her. He seems to think of her as something akin to a kitten – mostly there to be cute and to get petted. Sometimes we have to remind him that she is a person and might night like her face and cheeks to be touched constantly! He’s very gentle though and it is sweet to see how much he already loves her. He is also of course still his usual wild, silly, imaginative self. He has been having fun getting out of the house in the mornings with Daddy, going to cool places like the park, the library, the grocery store, and Daddy’s work.

She's quite happy to nap in her crib by day, but at night she'd much rather be snuggled up with Mommy.

Taking Anya for her first walk on a warm calm evening. Lewis got to test out the standing platform on our new stroller.

Lewis also liked that he could easily hop off the stroller to run alongside us instead.

And now he's Super Man!

Tummy time. She'll lay calmly staring out at the world for a while, then eventually starts bobbing her head around and mouthing on her hands and the play mat.

  1. I had to dig out the baby pics of our kids when seeing these, she is so adorable! I enjoy our kids growing older, more capable and independent but in the baby days they were so cute…
