Happy Friday! Life is continuing on pretty much as usual here. Lewis and I are spending as much time as possible out in the warm and sunny weather. We are also missing Daddy as he continues to work long hours for the next few weeks. Lewis tries to make up for lost time by delaying his bedtime in every way possible and continually calling Daddy back in to the bedroom to help with completely imaginary and un-needed tasks.
Our main activities this week have included picking hundreds of dandelions, eating (homemade) popsicles, and using a squeezy bottle of water to squirt chalk drawings (and ants) on the sidewalk.
We went to the mall last weekend and of course Lewis had to try one of the little rides there. We don’t go often and to him the mall was like a whole new experience. He was especially excited to ride the elevator and escalators! He also enjoyed that one of the shoe stores had balls he could play with, though he wasn’t a fan of trying on new shoes.
We found a lovely big patch of dandelions near the post office (which happens to be right next door to our apartments.)
A happy and proud boy with his giant bouquet of dandelions!

Once we get home the bouquets get thrown all over the living room then forgotten and left to wilt. (Yes, the house is very messy. This belly makes it difficult to bend down to clean things up, so I mostly just don’t.)
Lewis taking very seriously the job of building his sister’s new bed.
