Photo Friday

Happy Friday everyone! It is Friday, right? Things have been feeling just a bit mixed up here due to some deadlines and crazy work schedule for Chris. He’s been working late nearly every evening and also working some Saturdays, so that leaves a lot of time for me and Lewis to keep busy on our own. Thankfully we have been lucky to have beautiful warm weather all week and have spent as much time as possible outside. Even a rainy day yesterday didn’t ruin it since all that meant was that Lewis had the chance to test out his new rain jacket! He is loving the puddles, the mud, and every other part of this emerging spring weather. We’ve gone for some nice walks and also enjoyed exploring outdoors again and seeing how the world is changing around us. Hope you all have had some nice weather to enjoy too!

Let's start things off right with this artistic Lewis-eye perspective of some of the mess on our floor.

An enormous stick!!! What more could a boy want in life?

Finally warm enough to get back to digging in his favorite dirt corner! He told me he was making a garden and planting seeds to grow some carrots.

These poor bird feeders were abandoned in their tree all winter while their family went to Florida. They are now home and filled up the one they could reach. Lewis helped rescue another that had fallen in the snow, and then crouched down quietly below the tree and eventually told me he loved that tree. :)

Trying out his new rain jacket! Pothole puddles are the best because they are deepest.

Ker-splash! He loves tossing rocks in the deepest puddles and seeing how they disappear beneath the mucky water.

Don't cry over spilt milk! (This is actually a lovely concoction of yogurt, chia seeds, and water. At different points he told me he was doing an experiment and also that this was a fun project. Sometimes you just have to go with the flow and let the messes happen.)
