Happy Friday and Happy Mother’s Day in advance to all the Mamas out there! We have a busy weekend ahead since tomorrow is Chris’ birthday and Sunday is Mother’s Day. Lots of yummy treats planned, and Lewis is very excited about everyone getting presents (because obviously anything that is for Mommy or Daddy also becomes his property.) His language explosion continues to amaze us daily with all the new words he is saying. We are mostly on 2 word sentences still, but a few times he has come out with three words together. His imagination is also really blossoming recently. (And speaking of blossoming, he is in love with all the flowers outside and points out the “dandies” and daffodils where ever we go.)
ALL THE ANIMALS. Minimum requirement for sleep: Hobbes, tiny elephant, Baa Baa, Brown Goat, and Tan Goat. Usually one or two others join them as well.
Yelling is fun! (This shirt dedicated to Uncle Ken.)
Grown-up games are great for fine motor skills.
One day I was hanging up laundry and he started shouting from the other room about birds, nests, and eggs. I came out and he had carefully piled all these colorful balls under the highchair, and very proudly showed me his “eggs” in their “nest.” 🙂
Fishing in the bathtub “pond.”
We love goats! Shirt is a bit big still and was intended to be saved for later, but he insisted on changing into it when he saw me take it out of the laundry.
My handsome handsome boy needs his mop of hair trimmed this weekend. ❤
